It is a former government outpost that was established in order to bring the Hida Province under the direct control of the Edo Bakufu (Shogunate). It was established in what is currently Hachiken-machi. (高山陣屋は江戸幕府が管理するために設置した代官所)
I need to update my travel pics before this happened. lol anyhow, I went to Tokushima for Awaodori. I also danced in this Arasowa-ren group with bunch of foreigners. totally our group has 250 people! I even didn't know how to dance. I think I showed my horrible move to tons of audience. However It was really fun event!
town view from the outlook in Shirakawa-go. There were some cameramen there. One of them said, "Shirakawa - GOuuuu" when he pushed the camera buttom. I couldn't help giggling!
very impressive. I like someone who know what they wanna do and should do. As a matter of fact, I believe that if people try hard, Everything gonna be possible. not only be able to speak English well. you know. so, Just do it without stubborn thinking.
also, I feel the same what he said. We are Japanese but English is more direct and easier to communicate than Japanese itself sometimes.
